20 June: EPP leaders to meet in Vienna to prepare the European Council; press registration (EN+DE)
 
Brussels, 11 June 2013
 
EU and non-EU heads of state and government and opposition leaders of the European People's Party (EPP), along with the Presidents of the European Council and the European Commission – Herman VAN ROMPUY and José Manuel BARROSO – have been invited to participate at an enlarged party Summit, which will take place in Vienna, Austria on 20 June 2013. On the agenda will be the preparation of the European Council, scheduled for 27 and 28 June.
 
EPP President Wilfried MARTENS and Austrian Vice Chancellor and ÖVP Chairman Michael SPINDELEGGER will host the EPP Summit. EPP Secretary General Antonio LÓPEZ-ISTÚRIZ and members of the EPP Presidency will also attend.
 
The EPP currently has 13 out the 27 members in the European Council: Enda KENNY (Ireland, EU Council Presidency), Angela MERKEL (Germany), Mariano RAJOY (Spain), Jean-Claude JUNCKER (Luxembourg), Traian BĂSESCU(Romania), Viktor ORBÁN (Hungary), Donald TUSK (Poland), Fredrik REINFELDT (Sweden), Valdis DOMBROVSKIS (Latvia), Antonis SAMARAS (Greece), Jyrki KATAINEN (Finland), Pedro PASSOS COELHO (Portugal) and Nicos ANASTASIADES (Cyprus).

20. Juni: EVP-Treffen der Staats- und Regierungschefs und der Parteivorsitzenden in Wien zur Vorbereitung des Europäischen Rates; Presseregistrierung

EU und Nicht-EU Staats- und Regierungschefs sowie Oppositionsführer der Europäischen Volkspartei (EVP), gemeinsam mit den Präsidenten des Europäischen Rates und der Europäischen Kommission - Herman VAN ROMPUY und José Manuel BARROSO – wurden zu einem erweiterten Parteigipfel in Wien/Österreich geladen, der am 20. Juni 2013 stattfinden wird. Auf der Tagesordnung steht die Vorbereitung des Europäischen Rates, der für den 27. und 28. Juni vorgesehen ist.
 
Der EVP-Vorsitzende Wilfried MARTENS und der ÖVP-Bundesparteiobmann Vizekanzler Michael SPINDELEGGER sind die Gastgeber des EVP-Gipfels. Der EVP-Generalsekretär Antonio LÓPEZ-ISTÚRIZ und die Mitglieder des EVP Präsidiums werden ebenfalls daran teilnehmen.
