Tomorrow: EPP Summit, ahead of the European Council - list of participants; last day for press registration (EN+FR)
Brussels, 24 June 2015
EU and non-EU heads of state and government and opposition leaders of the European People's Party (EPP), along with the Presidents of the European Council and the European Commission - Donald TUSK and Jean-Claude JUNCKER - will participate in the upcoming Summit of the Party, which will take place in Brussels, on 25 June. On the agenda will be the preparation of the European Council, which will take place on 25 and 26 June.EPP President Joseph DAUL will host the EPP Summit. The Chairman of the EPP Group in the European Parliament, Manfred WEBER, the EPP Secretary General, Antonio LÓPEZ-ISTÚRIZ, and the members of the EPP Presidency will also attend.
Angela MERKEL (Germany), Mariano RAJOY (Spain), Boyko BORISSOV (Bulgaria), Viktor ORBÁN (Hungary), Laimdota STRAUJUMA (Latvia), Enda KENNY (Ireland), Pedro PASSOS COELHO (Portugal) and Nicos ANASTASIADES (Cyprus) will participate at the Summit.
Moreover, Deputy Prime Minister Kris PEETERS (Belgium), Minister of Interior Angelino ALFANO (Italy), Minister of Finance Alexander STUBB (Finland), Minister of Social Protection Margus TSAHKNA (Estonia) and opposition leaders Antonis SAMARAS (Greece), Nicolas SARKOZY (France), Simon BUSUTTIL (Malta), Janez JANŠA (Slovenia), Jan FIGEL' (Slovakia), Marc SPAUTZ (Luxembourg), Sybrand VAN HAERSMA BUMA (The Netherlands), Tomislav KARAMARKO (Croatia), Anna KINBERG BATRA (Sweden) and Gabrielius LANDSBERGIS (Lithuania) will also attend the EPP Summit.
Non-EU heads of state and government Erna SOLBERG (Norway), Serzh SARGSYAN (Armenia), Nikola GRUEVSKI (FYROM), Natalia GHERMAN (Moldova), Isa MUSTAFA (Kosovo), party president Mikheil SAAKASHVILI (Georgia) as well as opposition leaders Lulzim BASHA (Albania) and Alaksandr MILINKIEVIC (Belarus) will also attend the party Summit.
